Doctors improve because dentistry is observable — you can watch a prep, review a scan, grade the margin. Consults are the opposite: they happen behind a closed door or inside a text thread, one at a time, unrepeatable. So the most valuable skill in the practice gets no film review, no reps, no coach.

Courses don't fix this; your team already knows what they're supposed to say. Knowing isn't the gap — reps are. A coordinator who has handled the spouse objection forty times in rehearsal handles it differently the forty-first time, live.

Ten minutes a day compounds: the improvement isn't visible in a week, it's unmistakable over a quarter — and it survives turnover, because the next hire ramps on simulated patients instead of your live ones.
